چکیده
Abstract Background Previously, twelve Rickettsia species were identified in ticks, fleas, sheep keds ( Melophagus ovinus ), bats Pipistrellus pipistrellus ) and a tick-bitten patient the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) northwestern China. Here we aimed to molecularly detect rickettsial agents red fox Vulpes vulpes marbled polecat Vormela peregusna their ticks. Methods During 2018–2019, 12 foxes, one ticks sampled two counties city of XUAR. The heart, liver, spleen, lung kidney these 13 carnivores dissected, followed by DNA extraction. Hard both morphologically molecularly. All samples examined for presence rickettsiae amplifying four genetic markers 17-kDa, gltA, ompA, sca1 ). Results A total 26 adult 28 nymphs (38 Ixodes canisuga , nine kaiseri six Haemaphysalis erinacei Dermacentor marginatus collected from Ha. removed polecat. Analysis cytochrome c oxidase subunit I COI gene sequences indicated that 2–32 nucleotides differed between I. China Europe. raoultii was detected three Candidatus barbariae fox, sibirica polecat, R. tick D . Conclusions To best our knowledge, have not been previously reported foxes first time organs This is also molecular evidence Our findings expand range tick-borne pathogens wildlife associated Graphical

متن کاملReproduction of the red fox Vulpes vulpes in Central Italy
The reproduction of the red fox Vulpes vulpes has been widely studied (Hayssen et al. 1993). Most features are highly variable, and reproductive output appears dependent on food availability at high latitudes (Englund 1970), whereas at lower latitudes it seems limited by social constraints (Macdonald 1980, Lindström 1989). No data on the reproduction of the red fox are available for the Mediter...
متن کاملStructure of Vomeronasal Organ (Jacobson) in the Male Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes)
Introduction: Most mammalians possess an accessory olfactory system, which its first part is called vomeronasal organ (VNO). In this research, we studied the structure of this organ in Azerbaijani red fox. Methods: Heads of 10 healthy male fox carcasses were collected from areas around Tabriz and transferred to the laboratory in frozen form or in fixative solution. Biometrical e...

Analysis of the origin of domestic animals is of wide interest and has many practical applications in areas such as agriculture and evolutionary biology. Identification of an ancestor and comparison with the domesticated form allows for an analysis of genetic, physiological, morphological and behavioral effects of domestication. Because fox breeding has been an ongoing process for over a centur...
متن کاملPrevalence of parasitic infections in the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and golden Jackal (Canis aureus) in Iran
Red foxes and golden jackals are the two most abundant wild carnivores of Iran which have the ability to adopt a variety of habitats and human proximity. Despite this, very few investigations on their helminth and none on their external parasites infections have been carried out in Iran. Between 2003 and 2004, a total of 79 jackals and 37 foxes were collected from 3 different climatic zones of ...
